Used as a light stabilizer in polymers, particularly in polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. It protects materials from UV degradation by scavenging free radicals formed during sunlight exposure, helping to prevent discoloration, cracking, and loss of mechanical strength. Commonly added during the processing of plastic films, fibers, and molded parts exposed to outdoor environments. Also found in coatings and adhesives where long-term weatherability is required.
