Used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. It works by narrowing blood vessels around the brain and reducing substances in the body that can trigger headache pain, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and other migraine symptoms. Eletriptan HBr is not intended to prevent migraines or treat common tension headaches. It belongs to a class of medications known as triptans, which are selective serotonin receptor agonists. Most effective when taken at the first sign of a migraine, it helps relieve pain and restore normal function during an attack.
