description Product Description

Used as an indicator in titration processes, particularly in the Mohr method for determining chloride concentration in a solution. The formation of a reddish-brown precipitate signals the endpoint when silver ions react with chromate ions after all chloride ions have been consumed. Also employed in the production of silver-based conductive inks and coatings due to its electrical properties. Occasionally used in the preparation of other silver compounds and in some specialized electrochemical applications.

Additionally, it is used in laboratory settings for educational and research purposes due to its distinct color and easily observable reactions. However, due to its toxicity and carcinogenic nature, it must be handled with caution and used only in controlled environments.
