description Product Description
Used in dentistry as a topical agent to help prevent tooth decay and reduce dental sensitivity. It releases fluoride ions that strengthen tooth enamel and has antimicrobial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria responsible for cavities. Also employed in some silver-based conductive inks and coatings for electronic applications due to its ability to form conductive films when decomposed. Additionally, utilized in organic synthesis as a fluorinating agent to introduce fluorine atoms into molecules, especially in pharmaceutical and agrochemical research.
