Used primarily in anti-dandruff shampoos to treat scalp conditions such as dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It helps reduce flaking, itching, and irritation by slowing the growth of skin cells on the scalp and controlling the yeast (Malassezia) that contributes to these conditions. Also effective in treating tinea versicolor, a fungal skin infection that causes skin discoloration. Applied topically, it is left on the affected area for a short period before rinsing off. Use as directed to avoid potential skin irritation from overuse. Not for internal use.
