description Product Description
Used as an oxidizing agent in organic synthesis, particularly in allylic oxidation reactions to convert alkenes into α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds. Commonly employed in the synthesis of steroids, hormones, and other complex organic molecules. Also serves as a reagent in analytical chemistry for detecting and quantifying certain compounds. In industrial applications, it is used in the production of selenium-containing compounds for electronic components and in some types of glass manufacturing to decolorize glass or impart a ruby-red color. Additionally, used in small amounts in the vulcanization of rubber to improve heat resistance and elasticity.
