description Product Description

Ruthenium(III) chloride hydrate is used as a precursor in the synthesis of ruthenium-based catalysts for various organic transformations, including hydrogenation and oxidation reactions such as the conversion of alcohols to aldehydes or ketones. It plays a key role in the preparation of thin films via chemical vapor deposition (CVD), especially in microelectronics for capacitor and electrode materials, and in producing corrosion-resistant coatings. Employed in electrocatalysis, notably for water splitting and fuel cell applications due to ruthenium’s high activity and stability, as well as in photochemical and electrochemical research owing to its excellent electron transfer properties. Also utilized in the fabrication of dye-sensitized solar cells, as a dopant in semiconductor materials, and in the synthesis of complex ruthenium compounds for electronics and sensors. Its ability to form stable complexes makes it valuable in research for developing new catalytic systems and functional materials.
