description Product Description

Widely used in agriculture as a fungicide and pesticide, especially in vineyards and orchards to control fungal diseases like mildew. It is a key component of Bordeaux mixture, a traditional spray for protecting plants. In addition, it serves in root control for sewer and septic lines by inhibiting root growth into pipes. Commonly used in electroplating processes to deposit copper metal onto surfaces, improving conductivity and corrosion resistance. Also applied in metal finishing and in the formulation of catalysts for organic synthesis. In education and research, it is used in crystal growing experiments and as a reagent in qualitative inorganic analysis to test for the presence of certain ions. It supports the teaching of concepts like hydration, crystallization, and redox reactions. Used in the mining industry for froth flotation of minerals and as a reagent in hydrometallurgical processes to recover metals. Also employed in water treatment to control algae growth in reservoirs, ponds, and swimming pools. In animal husbandry, it is sometimes included in mineral feed supplements to prevent copper deficiency, though use is carefully controlled due to toxicity at high doses. Also found in some foot baths for livestock to treat fungal infections like foot rot.
