Used in organic photovoltaics (OPVs) as a low-bandgap donor polymer, enabling efficient light absorption in the near-infrared range for high-performance solar cells. Also applied in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) due to its excellent charge carrier mobility and in flexible electronics thanks to good film-forming properties and thermal stability. Shows promise in semitransparent solar cells and tandem devices where broad light harvesting is critical.
