Used primarily as a photoinitiator in UV-curable formulations. It is effective in ink formulations, coatings, and adhesives where rapid curing under UV light is required. Offers good solubility in polar and non-polar monomers, making it suitable for a wide range of resin systems. Commonly used in printing inks, especially flexographic and inkjet, due to its efficiency and low yellowing after cure. Also found in some dental composites and industrial coatings where deep cure and low odor are important.
