description Product Description
Widely used in agriculture as a systemic fungicide, it effectively controls a broad spectrum of fungal diseases in crops. It is particularly effective against rusts, powdery mildews, leaf spots, and smuts in cereals such as wheat, barley, and oats. It is also applied in orchards and vineyards to protect fruits like apples, grapes, and pears from fungal infections including scab and powdery mildew.
Commonly formulated in suspension concentrates, it is applied as a foliar spray or seed treatment. When used as a seed treatment, it protects germinating seeds and young seedlings from soil-borne pathogens such as Fusarium and Rhizoctonia.
Its systemic action allows it to be absorbed and distributed within plant tissues, providing both preventive and curative effects. Due to its long residual activity, it reduces the frequency of application, making it cost-effective for farmers.
It is often included in integrated pest management (IPM) programs and resistance management strategies by rotating with other fungicides to prevent the development of resistant fungal strains.
