Used in research to inhibit the interaction between PDEδ and farnesylated KRAS, a protein involved in cancer signaling pathways. Helps disrupt the proper localization of KRAS to the cell membrane, thereby reducing its oncogenic activity. Investigated as a potential targeted therapy in preclinical models, especially to overcome resistance to other RAS pathway inhibitors.
