Used in targeted cancer therapy, particularly for solid tumors expressing TEM1 (tumor endothelial marker 1). It binds selectively to TEM1 on tumor vasculature and stromal cells, enabling inhibition of tumor growth and angiogenesis. Investigated in clinical trials for sarcomas, glioblastoma, and other mesenchymal tumors. Also explored for antibody-drug conjugates and imaging agents due to its specific tumor localization.
