Used in targeted cancer therapy, particularly in cancers with Wnt pathway activation such as colorectal and other solid tumors. It neutralizes RSPO3 (R-spondin 3), a protein that amplifies Wnt signaling, thereby inhibiting tumor growth driven by this pathway. By blocking RSPO3, it disrupts the interaction between RSPO3 and its receptor LGR5, reducing stemness and proliferation of cancer cells. Currently investigated in clinical trials for its efficacy in RSPO3-fusion or RSPO3-overexpressing cancers. Shows promise in overcoming resistance to other targeted therapies in gastrointestinal cancers.
