Used in targeted cancer therapy, particularly for hematologic malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and mantle cell lymphoma. Binds selectively to the ROR1 receptor, which is overexpressed on cancer cells but absent in most healthy adult tissues, enabling precise targeting. Functions as a blocking antibody to inhibit tumor growth signaling pathways and induces cell death through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Investigated in clinical trials both as a monotherapy and in combination with other agents to enhance anti-tumor responses. Also serves as a reference standard in the development of biosimilars and novel ROR1-targeting therapeutics.
