Used in targeted cancer therapies, particularly in tumors with overexpression of the AXL receptor, such as non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and leukemias. It blocks AXL signaling pathways involved in tumor growth, metastasis, and drug resistance. Investigated in combination with chemotherapy and other immunotherapies to enhance anti-tumor activity. Also explored for use in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), where it delivers cytotoxic agents directly to AXL-positive cancer cells, minimizing damage to healthy tissues. Shows potential in overcoming resistance to EGFR inhibitors and other targeted treatments.
