description Product Description

Used in ultra-high temperature ceramics for aerospace applications, especially in rocket nozzles and hypersonic vehicle components due to its exceptional heat resistance and structural stability at temperatures above 3000°C. Commonly found in leading edges of re-entry vehicles and scramjet combustion chambers where extreme thermal and oxidative environments exist. Also investigated as a coating material for nuclear reactor components because of its high neutron absorption cross-section and durability under radiation. Shows promise in advanced cutting tools and wear-resistant parts when combined with other carbides like tungsten or tantalum.
