Used as a host material in blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PHOLEDs). Its high triplet energy level makes it suitable for efficient energy transfer to blue emitters, improving device efficiency and stability. Commonly employed in the emissive layer of OLED displays and lighting panels. Also explored in thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) devices due to its electron-transport properties and good film-forming ability. Shows promise in enhancing electroluminescence performance with low efficiency roll-off at high brightness.
