description Product Description

3,5-Dichloro-N-(1,1-dimethylpropynyl)benzamide, known as Pronamide, is a selective herbicide in the benzamide family. It is used for pre- and post-emergence control of annual bluegrass, other winter annual grasses, and certain broadleaf weeds in turfgrass, ornamentals, berries, alfalfa, and non-crop areas. Pronamide inhibits mitosis by disrupting microtubule assembly in susceptible plants, leading to cessation of cell division and growth. It is absorbed through roots and foliage and translocated upward in the plant.
