description Product Description
Used as a flame retardant in plastics, rubber, textiles, and coatings due to its ability to suppress combustion. Commonly added to PVC, adhesives, sealants, and paints to improve fire resistance. Also functions as a secondary plasticizer, enhancing flexibility and durability of polymer materials. In metalworking fluids, it acts as an extreme pressure additive, improving lubricity during cutting and forming operations. Widely applied in the production of conveyor belts, cables, and hoses where fire safety and mechanical performance are critical.
However, due to potential toxicity and environmental persistence, its use is regulated in some countries.
