Used as a yellow to orange pigment in ceramics and glass due to its excellent thermal stability and color durability at high temperatures. Provides a non-toxic alternative to cadmium sulfide-based pigments in certain applications. Employed in the production of specialty coatings and enamels where resistance to heat and weathering is required. Also investigated for use in optoelectronic materials because of its semiconductor properties and transparency in the visible spectrum.
