Used as a dye in textile industries, especially for dyeing cotton and other cellulosic fibers. Provides a bright blue color with good wash fastness. Also applied in paper printing and sometimes in ink formulations. Occasionally used in biological staining for microscopy due to its contrast properties. Not suitable for food or pharmaceutical use.
