The antibody binds specifically to FOLR1 on cancer cells, enabling selective delivery of the cytotoxic agent MMAE (monomethyl auristatin E). This conjugate induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in tumor cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. It is especially beneficial in treating platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian cancer.
