Hi-EGCG™ is a green tea extract or catechin that contains a high amount of a powerful antioxidant called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). It is effective in preventing cell damage and cell degeneration in the body.
Scientific research has found that EGCG, a compound found in green tea leaf extract, is highly effective in fighting free radicals and repairing skin damage caused by UVA and UVB rays. It has also been found to help reduce acne by reducing sebum secretion and inflammation, as well as improving skin elasticity.
Hi-EGCG™ contains at least EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) 3%, which is at least 10 times more than the general Green Tea Extract, which on average contains only 0.1-0.3% EGCG. In addition , Hi-EGCG™ has undergone a stabilization process, which makes it more stable when compared to the general Green Tea Extract, which is very sensitive to light and will deteriorate quickly when exposed to light.
The company sells two types of green tea extracts.
1. Pure-EGCG™ contains 98% EGCG and is a light-colored powder.
2. Hi-EGCG™ contains 2% EGCG and is a liquid that is easy to use and can be instantly dissolved in any formulation.
Usage: For products that reduce wrinkles and acne, in the form of gel, serum, lotion or cream.
How to mix:
- Mix in the final step, the temperature of the cosmetic must be lower than 40 °C and pH between 4.0-6.5.
- ActiveProtec™ OX 1% should be used in the formula to help prevent metal ions from destroying the quality of the Green Tea Extract and the formula should not contain any form of Vitamin E.
- The finished product must be protected from light, such as in an opaque bottle, to prolong the shelf life of the EGCG and maintain its effectiveness for as long as possible.
Usage rate: 1-5%
Product Description: Dark green-brown liquid. May darken the color of cosmetics (green-brown-purple tones).
