description Product Description

Used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections like bronchitis and pneumonia, skin infections, and ear infections. Commonly prescribed for Helicobacter pylori eradication in combination with other medications to treat stomach ulcers. Also used in managing Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infections, especially in immunocompromised patients. Effective against certain gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis in susceptible organisms. Often chosen for its improved acid stability and better tissue penetration compared to older macrolides.
